Dogs and Postal Workers
We are both bound by routine, me and the dogs. We help each other to pass the time of day.
2 commentsBadly Addressed Mail
This is the text of a radio column I wrote for You & Yours on BBC Radio 4. The posties' knowledge beats new technology when it comes to badly addressed mail.
2 commentsThe Two-Bundle Delivery Method, as used in Canada. Is this what is next for the Royal Mail?
The two-bundle delivery method as implemented by Moya Greene in Canada. You couldn't make this stuff up. Is this what they have in mind for us too?

20 commentsI understand why some people vote for the BNP
Saying that doesn’t mean that I will vote for the BNP, or that I support the BNP, or that I am recommending the BNP; it simply means that I have a certain sympathy with people who are so far excluded from the political process that they feel they need to vote for an extreme party in order to make an extreme statement
7 commentsElection machines
I saw the Labour Party for what it was: a machine for getting itself re-elected. It had no other purpose. Principles were merely decorative add-ons to it’s central aim, which was to get elected at any cost.
